Missy and Mike WeddingsFriday, May 30, 2008

Missy and Mike's wedding last Sunday was an amazing event. We were blown away by all of the gorgeous details AND the amount of fun everyone had. The ceremony was emotional and beautiful. The reception was a fabulous party. My abs were sore the next day because I laughed so much throughout the day!

Here are some of our favorite moments ::

Heather and Ross WeddingsThursday, May 29, 2008

On Saturday we were in Ellendale for the wedding of Heather and Ross. Heather is one of the most organized brides I've ever met, and with all her planning, the whole day was perfectly organized and on schedule (if not a little early!). It was a crazy day for the weather ... first it was very windy, then cloudy, then humid. But the rain stayed away long enough for us to get some great portraits of Heather and Ross and the wedding party near the old train depot in Ellendale.

Last day! PersonalFriday, May 23, 2008

This was waiting for me at my desk this morning :) The banner was created by my best work pal, Jodi. Isn't it pretty? And I got a cookie with my logo on it and some flowers the same color as my logo :) I'm very impressed!

It is my last day at the newspaper and I'm both excited for what's to come and sad about what I'm leaving behind. My work for the paper has always been challenging (in a good way) and fun, and it's provided me with the opportunity to meet some really great people.

So, thanks for the good times, Grand Forks Herald. It's been real :)

Shirely and Jerry WeddingsFriday, May 23, 2008

We're so behind in blogging! Argh!

Here's a beautiful wedding we photographed in Fargo a couple weeks ago. Shirley and Jerry are so in love ... and it shows in every photo. Shirley is a very kind and sweet person, and Jerry's got a great sense of humor. We had so much fun spending time with them and their families!

This old house PersonalTuesday, May 20, 2008

On our drive back from Bismarck last weekend, Kory and I decided to take the long way home and discovered a cool old abandoned house and barn off Highway 200. We stopped to take some photos and I got the chance to play with this old Kodak Duaflex camera someone gave me.

Now I'm not actually taking photos with the camera, but instead using the lens and shooting with my digital camera through the viewfinder. I love the look and texture it gives the photos. Let me know what you think :)
