Baby Brecken is growing up

We've been photographing little Brecken since he was one day old ... he's growing into an adorable and expressive toddler. I just can't get over his long eyelashes and blue, blue eyes. Here are a few of my favorites from his nine-month session ::
Holding on to his big brother's most-prized possession: a hockey puck.
Melt my heart :: those eyes, that hair, those wrist-fat wrinkles.

Michael is one!

Little Michael turned one year old yesterday! I can't believe it!

Michael is as sweet as ever and still has the most amazing blue eyes ... Here's a photo when he was only a couple days old ::
And here he is now!
What do I do with my hands?
His sisters making snow angels ::

Laurie and Jared: Grand Forks, ND wedding

Laurie and Jared know how to pull off a theme :) Their fabulous wedding last weekend was the perfect winter wonderland, inside and out! Outside a blizzard was coating the roads, trees and rooftops with a layer of white snow. Inside the church, white-painted trees lined the aisle and at the reception hall, white trees were the feature centerpieces. They couldn't have planned it better!

Laurie and Jared were really easy to work with and stylish (as Kory called Jared) during their engagement session, so were were really looking forward to their big day. Of course, it was stunning. All Seasons in Grand Forks did the church and reception decor and both Kory and I were in awe!

A big heartfelt congrats to Laurie and Jared! We hope you are having fun in St. Lucia!
Clever idea : Each attendant's bouquet had their initial wrapped into it so the girls knew which bouquet was theirs.
Pink boots! Love!
Snowy wedding party
The details at the reception were amazing ... can you guess where the ring shot was taken?

A prepared bride

Last Saturday it rained and snowed during Laurie and Jared's wedding. Luckily Laurie was prepared with bright pink Hunter boots! More photos from this amazing wedding tomorrow :)

Katelyn and Josh: Grand Forks, ND wedding

As you can imagine, January in North Dakota isn't normally a popular time to tie the knot. But this January has been a busy month for us ... we've had FOUR weddings so far!

Katelyn and Josh were married in Grand Forks this January and seriously, it was fabulous. Katelyn and Josh have a great connection with each other and you can see how happy they are. I know I always say how much fun we have at weddings ... but it's always true! I can say that we had an exceptionally fun time with Josh and Katelyn. So much fun, in fact, that we stayed about three hours longer than we were scheduled to because I just didn't want to leave. True story.

Why all the fun? Well, even though it was -20 degrees (really, it was!), Katelyn and Josh were up for any crazy photo ideas we had. We drove the limo to the outdoor ice skating rink for photos and went to a creepy deserted building. But my favorite part of the day was that Josh surprised Katelyn by singing a song at the reception. I filmed a bit of it ... you can see it at the end of this post :)

A big heartfelt congrats to K+J! Thank you for inviting us to share your day with you!

The details:
Church: Holy Family Catholic Church
Reception: Ramada
Flowers+Decor: Just Add Water
DJ: Robert Benda
Fabulous purple shoes!
Katelyn, you are gorgeous!
