A little known fact about me :: I spent my first year in college in Boston at Boston University. Ultimately I decided to go to college closer to home, but I loved Boston and I am still glad I spent time there. My freshman year roommate was Jenn from Long Island, NY. I still vividly remember how she pronounced my name in her funny Long Island accent (Shwana), drank lots of Starbucks coffee, and listened to Enya before going to bed every night. I was terribly homesick for my friends and family in North Dakota but Jenn and her sister Karen helped me to laugh and have fun and enjoy Boston.
In early 2009 I got a call from Jenn that she was engaged to be married in July. Without a second thought, I booked a plane ticket and hotel room for her wedding in Newport, RI. I couldn't wait to see her get married!
Jenn's wedding weekend was one of the few weekends we had off in 2009; of course I brought my camera and snapped a few photos throughout the day. Jenn was a stunning bride and I could see how smitten Jesse, her new husband, was with her :)
I couldn't let the year end without getting these photos on the blog. So, six months later, here's they are!

I tried to get a whole bunch of family sessions on the blog before I left for Christmas, but because of a few later-than-planned arrivals of gifts and things and the arrival of a snow storm, that just didn't happen.
