It's a rainy day in Grand Forks today and we are busy editing and painting (at the same time!). We are almost done renovating our new office space, which located across the hall from our current space. We'll post photos of the new space soon!

Hooray for wedding season! Nikki and Scott kicked off the Shawna Noel Photography wedding season in style :) Their wedding ceremony took place on a beautiful sunny day in Pisek, North Dakota (I think Pisek is officially the smallest town we've ever photographed a wedding in!). After the ceremony, the wedding party piled into a big bus and traveled to Grand Forks for the reception at the Ramada Inn.
Nikki and Scott are a funny couple. Really, they've got a great sense of humor and had us laughing and smiling the whole day. I love it when that happens :)
We arrived in Pisek an hour before the wedding to check out the town :) I loved this sign :: |

As we prepared for our workshops, I was both excited and terrified. I was excited to meet/see everyone and also terrified that I would bore people to death. Kory and I talked a lot about what people need to know to take a photo (how the heck did we ever learn about aperture??). We talked about how to develop a style. We talked about talking. We even talked in-depth about cold water vs. room-temp water. True story.
After a couple weeks of workshop prep, we finally met all of our workshop attendees this weekend and it was GREAT! I simply adored making new friends and being able to catch-up with old friends. I hope everyone learned something from us :)
A big thanks to all of our workshop attendees for taking time out of your busy schedules to meet up with us! We look forward to seeing your work in the future.
And a special thanks to our models :: Michael, Jenna, Clarke, Kourtney, and the Auch family!
