Jennifer + Garett WeddingsFriday, August 28, 2009

Happy Friday! Here's a lovely July wedding for your viewing pleasure :) Jennifer and Garett said their vows in a church in Kindred, ND, then celebrated with their family and friends at Jennifer's family farm. It was a beautiful day from start to finish!

Here's Jennifer with her friends and mom getting dressed ::

We love exploring new towns for locations like this!

Oh my, how our garden grew! PersonalThursday, August 27, 2009

This summer we planted a garden. We planted peppers and corn, broccoli and kohlrabi, peas and carrots on a sunny plot in the southern section of Grand Forks. When we first planted all of the little plants, we weren't too confident they would survive. It was a cool spring. The plants didn't look so good. But then, about a month in to our garden project, things really sprung up! Soon we were up to our elbows in peas and green beans. The tomatoes are all starting to ripen now, and soon we should have lots of squash, pumpkins and watermelon.

Now as summer is coming to a close, here's a look back on our garden ::

The first week, back in mid-May, when Matt and Kory planted everything ::

I kept these boots in my car for random trips out to the garden ::

The garden, mid-July ::

Some of our first veggies were peppers ::

And onions ::

And kohlrabi ::

Yum!

Here are some photos I shot today ::
Still more peppers!

The corn is almost ready!

Watermelons on the grow!

Fresh-picked carrots ::

Cantaloupe (or muskmelon) ::

A baby pumpkin ::

And a huge pumpkin (hanging off of a tomato stand -- those pumpkin vines grow everywhere!) ::

You can see, pumpkins are everywhere!

OK, this is not in our garden, but in the neighbor's. I love how cool cabbage looks!

Brenda: Senior PortraitsWednesday, August 26, 2009

A couple weeks back I gave you a sneak peek from Brenda's senior session :: remember? Here are a few more :) I absolutely loved working with Brenda; she's really photogenic and natural in front of the camera (this type of thing makes my job so, so easy!). I had a hard time narrowing down the hundreds of photos we snapped of her!

Busy week! NewsMonday, August 24, 2009

We have a busy week ahead of us, filled with lots of senior sessions, family sessions, a Funbooth (YAY!) and a wedding! I'll try to get a few more sessions up on the blog during the craziness ahead ... but for now here are a few favorites from Alish and Zach's wedding on Lake Metigoshe last weekend. It was, in a word, gorgeous!
