Arel Family

During the Great Mosquito Invasion of 2008, Kory and I met up with the Arel family. What troopers they were, hiking through the Grand Forks Greenway and diving, swatting, and slapping mosquitoes the whole way! They were such a fun family, full of laughter and smiles :)

Chanel: Senior portrait

How gorgeous is Chanel? Chanel is the daughter of my favorite esthetician, Jane, so I knew she'd have beautiful skin and be sweet, just like her mom :)

Chanel had tons of great clothes and AMAZING shoes! I was so jealous :) Plus, she was so easy to work ... we laughed the whole time.

Chanel's sister jumped in a couple photos ... how cute are these two?

Sharlene and Matt: Wedding

We spent a lovely day in Devils Lake in September for Sharlene and Matt's big day! Sharlene is such a sweet gal ... when we met for the first time, we had so much fun chatting with her and her mom about the wedding day. Sharlene's sister got married last year, so Sharlene's mom knew what to expect and was really on the ball with all the details!

Sharlene and Matt had a beautiful wedding day. We had a great time meeting their friends and family ... and avoiding bees! For some reason, there are a lot of bees in Devils Lake. Luckily, Sharlene and Matt didn't get stung, but I DID! IN THE NECK! It hurt for a while, and I walked around with a can of Sprite on my neck to reduce the swelling. Overall, it was pretty funny and made it a very memorable day :)

Fall

I had my first weekend off since July and spent a bit of time at the lake. The fall colors are beautiful right now!

At the lake we took some Schill family photos, and my oh my is Claire cute. Claire is wearing "big girl" underwear now and to get her to smile I asked her what she was wearing. She stood up, turned around, showed me her butt and said, "underwear." Cutest. Thing. Ever.

Emily, aka Lime :)

A while back we met up with Emily, a fabulous photographer from Lemon Lime Studios in Rochester, Minn., for some portraits for her website and blog. I met Emily last year when we re-shot some wedding photos for her and her husband Justin. We had lots of fun last year, so Kory and I were looking forward to meeting up with Emily again!

Oh man were my abs sore from laughing with Emily! We spent a good 2.5 hours with Emily, took waaaaaaay too many photos, and laughed so much. She is just hilarious!
