Jaime and McCain: Wedding

** Warning :: Way-long post!**

The first time we met Jaime and McCain was during their engagement session in Minneapolis in April. It was the ickiest (yes, that's a word!) day ever. Rain, sleet, wind, gray skies, cold ... you come up with a bad-weather word, and it happened during Jaime and McCain's engagement session. Despite the cold, their personalities were warm and fun and we had a great time exploring the Mill City Museum with them!

Going in to Jaime and McCain's wedding day, I was hoping the weather would be MUCH better than the last time we saw them and sure enough, it was! It was an amazing day, both weather-wise and wedding-wise :)

The wedding was held at a South Dakota hunting lodge owned by Jaime's relatives. It was a great location with ample space to get ready and it just had a beautiful setting for a ceremony. A HUGE tent was assembled for the reception. Jamie's cousin from California created all of the flower arrangements in the garage on the day of the wedding and OH! were the flowers amazing. In fact, both Jaime and McCain's families helped out so much with the wedding and you could just tell how much that meant to the couple.

I'll stop rambling now and get on to the photos!

I love the light in this portrait ::

Don't they look great?
Have I mentioned that I loved the flowers? Oh, I did already? OK :)
Is it time yet?
What a great ceremony site!
Something a little different ::
That darn ring bearer kept hiding from me ::
OK, so we were at a hunting lodge. And there were a lot of guns. So, naturally, some photos had to be taken of the guns. I think every guest left the tent and came outside to take photos of the guys with their guns.
Did someone say, "shotgun wedding?"

The Hoff Family

Meet the Hoff family! I traveled to their home in Moorhead a couple weeks back to take some photos of the family, and then of just Cameron and the adorable little Arianna. I had so much fun following Cameron around the backyard ... he's one busy kid! Tree houses, swings, trampolines, oh my!

Arianna's a beautiful baby with big blue eyes and a sweet smile so naturally I had a great time photographing her!

Here's the family, laughing together :)

When I arrived, Arianna was still having some dinner. What a cutie!
Cameron is pretty cute, too ::

Jessie and Justin: Wedding

Jessie and Justin got hitched in Velva, North Dakota, in September and we were there to document the day! Jessie is a good friend of Andrea, who got married to Justin, who is my friend from high school. Follow that?

It was a big wedding -- about 500+ guests! -- and an emotional one, with lots of tears of joy being shed by Jessie and Justin both :)

We were so happy we could be there to celebrate with them! And we got to hang out with with Andrea, Justin, and their ADORABLE daughter Ashtyn who told us she had her special dancing shoes on! Oh man, did she dance :)

Jessie has a great sense of humor and had us laughing all day! Here's Jessie in the morning, laughing it up ::

Oh, the toasts were too good ::

The Blessums!

Yay for the Blessum family! I love this family almost as much as my own. I met Beth in high school and then really got to know her when we both worked at the Grand Forks Herald. Beth is hands down the funniest person I know. She always makes me laugh, and her sisters and mom are no different. Ann (Beth's sister) and her husband Daxon have a adorable son, Jace, who has a great sense of humor that's all his own :)

We got together when Beth's mom was in town for some family snaps. Jace, of course, was the star of the photos. Here he is, with his game face on ::

The whole family
I love all their faces in this photo (OK, especially Beth and Anns' faces)
Yay for Grandma and Jace!
Rockstars ::
Why am I so cute? (And, Why am I in a bush?)

Savanah and Brent

Here's the power of Facebook :: I read on Savanah's facebook page that she was soooooo excited to see some of her engagement photos, and that she wasn't very good at waiting. So I decided to NOT make her wait any longer :) Here's your sneak peek, S!

Savanah and Brent are a fabulous couple who will be gettin' hitched in Harvey, North Dakota, next year. They were up for any of our crazy suggestions for photos (How 'bout crawling into the middle of that corn field? Let's go to the junk yard! Go hug that tree over there!) and laughed it up the whole time. How do we always get such awesome clients, you wonder? We are just that lucky :)

Anyway, on to the photos. Here's one of my favorites (that I posted last week) ::
Yes, they bank at Wells Fargo ::
Aren't they a cute couple?
