Megan and Jason

On Friday I was down in Wayzata, Minnesota, for Megan and Jason's wedding. It was simply gorgeous! Megan picked some great details for her day: Instead of a veil, she wore a beautiful ostrich feather hair piece. Those feathers also found their way into the bouquets and centerpieces. Oh, and did I mention that her dress was fabulous? Yeah, it was :)

After the ceremony we headed to downtown Minneapolis for the reception at the Depot. The Depot is such an amazing place for a wedding reception ... and the food is awesome! While we were eating, I had a chance to visit with videographers Amy and Rachel from The DIgital Art House . They were hanging out with us all day, and do amazing work. :)

Congrats to Megan and Jason! And thanks to Steve Silverman for inviting me to shoot with him :)

Jessica and Tyler

I met up with Jessica and Tyler on Saturday near Uptown in Minneapolis for an engagement session. The location was all Tyler's idea, and I was impressed! We had some lovely parks and lakes to shoot around, then we made our way to the slightly scary, but beautiful-in-the-photo places like abandoned buildings right off of Lagoon Avenue. Jessica and Tyler were such good sports ... a little rain? No problem! Weird homeless guy yelling at us? No problem! Scary falling-apart buildings? No problem! Me forgetting my keys in the scary falling-apart building? You know ... still no problem. :)

Thanks for being so easy to work with, Jess and Tyler!

J+T are getting hitched October 20, and I can't wait for the wedding :)

Check out that ring! So pretty :)

Scary building? Yep.

Emily and Justin

Last night we met up with fellow photographer Emily from Lemon Lime Studios down in Rochester, Minnesota, to chat about the photo biz and take some fun post-wedding pics. Oh boy, did we have fun.

Emily and Justin were married last year, and they were looking for some portraits of the two of them that they weren't able to take on their wedding day. So Emily put her dress on again, Justin borrowed his dad's suit, and off we went to take some wedding photos :)

Emily was actually in Fargo because she was photographing a friend's wedding there on Saturday. Both her and Justin were trying to keep their wedding re-shoot on the down low, so they hadn't told many people. But as we stopped to take some photos by a lovely red wall in downtown Fargo on Sunday, the couple Emily had photographed the day before came walking down the street. Emily hid behind Justin ... but the couple still noticed them (standing in a wedding dress gets you noticed!) and with looks of bewilderment came over to talk. It was hilarious! It's not everyday you see your wedding photogarpher having her photo taken in a wedding dress. There was some explaining, and Justin begged them not to tell anyone what they saw :)

We had such a great time meeting both of you ... and Justin, thanks for putting up with our shop talk! Molly, we missed you!

The red wall ...

The reaction to seeing their friends ... and Justin demanding they not tell anyone about this (notice the pointed finger).

Emily feels more comfortable behind the camera (although she's cute as a button in front of it!)

A little kick:
