Shawna + Pat's Funbooth!

This year we are introducing a new option to our brides and grooms :: a Funbooth during your reception! The Funbooth is basically a photobooth, but instead of taking the photo yourself, we are there to take it for you :) And, if your guests aren't flocking to the Funbooth, we are there to gently persuade them to get off their bums and take a photo already (um, it's for the bride).

Pat and Shawna saw the fun photos we posted from our office opening party back in January (SEE HERE) and wanted the same thing at their wedding reception. So, we asked our favorite executive ass. Amanda join us for the festivities, and the rest is history! By the way, all the photos you see here were taken by Amanda! Good work, A!

A big, huge, ginormous shout out to all of the folks at Shawna + Pat's wedding last Saturday for making our new Funbooth so excellent! We had an amazing time with everyone.

So, to start off, Pat + his friends ::

I think this is sweet :)

Melissa and Jim: Maternity

While we were in Bismarck a couple weeks ago for Janessa + Lance's wedding, we also met up with Melissa + Jim for a maternity session.
Melissa and Jim's fabulous wedding was last May and it was so much fun to see this fun couple again!

Melissa looks gorgeous and has the baby's room all ready to go. Hopefully we'll be able to get back to Bismarck in July when the baby is born :)

How cute is Melissa?

Jim promises this baby will hunt and play hockey as soon as he can walk :)

Sugarland concert

I was one of those people who said, "I like everything but country" when someone asked what kind of music I like because, well, country music just wasn't cool. Nowadays I'm not too concerned about what is cool or not. I just like what I like. I still haven't really become a fan of country, but that may be changing ...

Last night we saw Sugarland at the Ralph Engelstad Arena, and to my surprise, had a great time! They put on a great show because they were so real + fun. I may like country music after all!

Also, photographing concerts can be so much fun! Stage lights are so different from the lighting I am used to, so it makes for interesting photos :)

Here's an overview shot of the crowd ::
Me likey this photo ::
During the encore, Jennifer Nettles sang in the middle of the crowd and I just happened to be standing there when she walked up the stairs to sing. I love the expressions of the fans in this photo.

Meet our intern!

Meet the lovely and fabulous Jenna, our new summer intern! Jenna is a UND student and sister to the gorgeous Andrea (of Andrea and Jake fame). We are smitten by Jenna's sense of humor (really, she's funny!) and her mad dance moves (these are kinda funny, too). Jenna is going to be around this summer helping us with all sorts of projects and we are SO EXCITED that she is here!

This was her first week, so of course we started her internship with a little mini photo session (on the windiest day ever).

Here she is ::
And here is Kory trying to teach Jenna all about the mighty reflector (Jenna looks confused already! Ha!)
Up next on the blog:: Sugarland photos from the concert at the Ralph Engelstad Arena last night!

Baby Brecken

Another blog post that's long overdue!

Meet Baby Brecken, the newest baby boy to Ann + Dax. Brecken's big brother, Jace, is one of my favorite little guys to hang out with and photograph, so naturally I was very excited to meet this new cutie :) Brecken is oh-so-sweet and Jace is the perfect big brother, giving Brecken lotsa kisses!

Our first photo session was at the hospital, when Brecken was one day old :)
Brecken and mom :)
Jace and Brecken
So sweet!
Auntie Beth and Jace
Then, a couple weeks later, I met up with Brecken at home ... he's growing so fast!
Jace lovin' his Oreo!
The happy family
Seriously. How cute is Jace?!?
Comparing feet :)
When I first arrived, Jace just woke up from his nap and wasn't ready for photos :)
Lots of kisses
Here's a little video of Jace, Brecken and Ann in the hospital. I think it's too sweet. Please excuse the icky sound and slight blurriness ... me + video are not so great together, yet :)
