LeAnn and Kory: Minot wedding

I've known the lovely LeAnn since high school (yay Minot High!) and was excited to work with her on her wedding day.

LeAnn was a gorgeous bride (see evidence below!) and I loved the details of her wedding :: The flowers! The ring! The wheat at the ceremony and reception!

We had a good amount of time before the ceremony to capture photos of the wedding party and the couple. Plus we had a gorgeous fall day to work with, so we were pretty happy photographers :)

Here are a few of my favorite images from the day ::
Kory is not a fan of the Dolphins :)
We only spent about three hours getting these rings to do this ::
(any guesses how it happened?)

Britta and Sean: Minneapolis wedding

I've been sitting here trying to think of a perfect way to sum up Britta and Sean's wedding day. Let me just say that when I get married, I hope my wedding day is just like Britta and Sean's. It was a perfect mix of modern + romantic + sophisticated. There were many beautiful personal touches -- from small things like Post-It note escort cards (Britta's dad works at 3M) to bigger things like the Sofreh, an Iranian spread that includes things such as a mirror, candles and coins on a small table for good luck (Sean is half Iranian). In addition to the actual wedding, I was also in love with Britta's wedding stationary from Linda + Harriett

More important than the details of the day, though, was an overall feeling of heartfelt joy between Britta and Sean. You could see and feel how much they respected and loved each other :)

On to the photos ...

Britta got ready at my favorite Minneapolis hotel, The Hotel Ivy.
Britta's hair and makeup was done by the fabulous Emily J
On her way to see Sean ...
As a nod to both Sean and Britta's heritage, antique Polish ribbon was tied around her bouquet :
My favorite image from the day :
The ceremony and reception were at the Bar Lurcat. It's a stunning venue!
Antique handkerchiefs were handed out to women with programs. Each one was unique.
Sean's mom during the ceremony
Simple but sophisticated cake by Gateaux, Inc.
Loving this color palette and table setting
Britta's dad sung, "Please Take Care of my Baby" during his speech (he also sung during the ceremony).
Happily Ever After
On a side note, I photographed this wedding with Emily Griffith. I've photographed Emily a couple of times; it was great to work with her!

Stephanie and Brad: Wolverton/Moorhead wedding

On a rainy October day, Steph and Brad tied the knot in Steph's hometown of Wolverton, Minnesota. I instantly fell in love with Steph and her bridesmaids -- they were a funny, energetic, and genuine group that made me feel so welcome. I love that!

During the ceremony, Steph and Brad said their vows in front of a very, very packed house.

We traveled up to Moorhead for the reception after the ceremony. The trolley ride between Wolverton and Moorhead was, hands-down, the most entertaining trolley ride we've ever experienced (other than that time in Rugby when we circled around the race track in a short bus).

A big heartfelt thanks to Steph, Brad, and their friends and family for welcoming us with open arms! We definitely walked away at the end of the night with new friends!
I know I always say this, but isn't Steph's dress gorgeous?

Jeff and Desra: Prior Lake wedding

My funny, charming and handsome cousin Jeff (I can call my cousin handsome, right?) married the beautiful Desra this fall and I was lucky enough to photograph it. People always say that you shouldn't mix business and family, but I was really honored that my cousin wanted me to be a part of his wedding celebration. This wedding is very close to my heart :)

The couple was married at a church just a couple of blocks from Jeff's home in Prior Lake, Minnesota. The reception was held in Bloomington at the Embassy Suites.

It was a sunny fall day. We spent the afternoon and early evening shooting the wedding, but as soon as dinner started we were done shooting and ready to party! I was so excited to actually attend a wedding (even if it was only half of a wedding), that a bought a new party dress and shoes for the occasion (check them out below!).

Jeff and Desra threw a fabulous party -- even my mom had a great time!

Thank you so much for inviting us to photograph your big day, Jeff and Desra. On to the photos!

Loved Desra's bouquet. The orchids were stunning ::
The mother of the bride and the mother of the groom ::
Hello gorgeous :)
Here are a few of Kory's photos ::

My mom and my cousin Errin
My cousin Andrea and me (I totally look like my mom!)
I vowed to stop taking photos once I put my party dress on. I guess I lied :) Kory caught me in the act ::
Kory told me I wouldn't be able to take photos in these shoes. I proved him wrong. Ha!

Greta and Travis: Jamestown wedding

I worked alongside photographer Steve Silverman to capture moments from Greta and Travis' wedding day in Jamestown, ND. I love second-shooting from time to time; it's great to be able to catch small details throughout the day. Here are some of my favorite details from Greta and Travis' big day :
