Lisa and Corey

Hello:) Kory here (aka The master of wind and light, trusty sidekick, chauffeur, sherpa and just awesome!) taking control of the blog universe. Such power and responsibility! For my first post ... another Corey:) A few weeks back we had a great time with Lisa and Corey running around Bismarck. We laughed, cried and laughed some more. So here are some of my favorites:) Was that enough smiley faces for everyone?

Sean and Jessi: Engaged!

I'm kicking off 20 days of blogging with Sean and Jessi's engagement session!

Sean and I go waaaaay back to our days working at the Dakota Student, the student newspaper at UND. Sean used to read my stories out loud when he proofread them, much to my embarrassment.

Thus (Sean used to use the word "thus" in every story he wrote) I hope to return the favor now and embarrass him by posting a few ridiculously cute photos of him and his gorgeous fiance, Jessi. Sean and Jessi are getting married this summer at Jessi's family lake home near Bemidji. It's sure to be a good time!

We met in Fargo for the session, the day after Jessi ran a half-marathon! I think I'd still be sweating 24 hours after I ran that much ...
Rockstars.

Teri and Jay: Omaha engagement session

Last Saturday we took a little drive down to Omaha, Nebraska for an engagement session. Teri and Jay are getting married this fall in Thief River Falls, but loved the idea of shooting their engagement photos in their current town: Omaha. We loved exploring downtown Omaha with Teri and Jay ... it's got so much charm and so many cool locations for photo takin' fun!

When we left Grand Forks in the morning, it was rainy, cold, and windy. We arrived in Omaha and it was nothing but blue skies (and a bit of wind). We couldn't believe the difference 500 miles makes weather-wise :)

Here are a few of my favorites from the session ::

I LOVED this building covered in vines. I probably took about 500 photos in front of it :)
Teri has a dandelion obsession :)
I asked Jay to jump over Teri. This is the first photo I took. I didn't realize Jay had the mad jumping skillz and would jump so high :)
Viney-house again :)

Brietta and Kenn: Engagement

Today it's been four weeks since my surgery and I'm feeling good! My jaw splint will come out tomorrow and I can't wait to eat real food. My first real meal after the splint comes out? PIZZA! If you could only eat mush for one month, what would your first meal be? I'll be reporting back tomorrow with photos of my new, post-surgery look (and maybe photos of me shoving pizza in my face).

Last week we met up with Brietta and Kenn on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in Grand Forks for their engagement session. They are getting married in Jamestown this summer and are expecting close to 500 guests! We can't wait for their big day ... it's going to be one heck of a party!

We started their session around the gerbil tubes at UND then headed outside for some snowy photos. We had a good time getting to know a bit more about Brietta and Kenn during the session. I think that normally during an engagement session, the guy is making the girl laugh and smile (or they are laughing because of Kory's great jokes! JK! LOL!). But with Brietta and Kenn, Brietta was making the jokes! I especially love the photos of Kenn laughing from their session :)

Enjoy the photos!

Lesli and Greg: Engagement

I love winter engagement sessions! Isn't there something sweet and romantic about snowy engagement photos? I think so. :)

Despite the fact that I can't talk well (think 4th grade speech impediment), Lesli and Greg only made fun of me a little bit during their engagement session. Lesli and Greg are both genuine and down-to-Earth. Greg has a great sense of humor and had us laughing the entire time. He made me promise to only post the good photos of him on the blog (which really limited my options -- haha, just kidding Greg!).

Lesli and Greg attended UND and are into Sioux hockey in a big way. Naturally, we stopped at the Ralph Engelstad Arena for some photo fun then headed to University Park for a few snowy outdoor photos.

We are excited for their wedding this fall!
High fives for everyone!
Ice skating rink!
How adorable is Lesli?
